Return to School – 2020/21
Monday 21 September
As you will all be aware, from tomorrow Tuesday 22 September, new restrictions will be introduced in Warrington.
The letter posted above from WBC in relation to the current rise in Covid-19 cases nationally and in Warrington. The letter is making recommendations to schools to do everything we can to keep our schools open and safe.
Many of the recommendations are already in place at our school but from tomorrow Tuesday 22 September staff will be wearing face coverings when the children are entering and exiting the school. We are asking all adults to consider following this recommendation at the start and end of the school day.
Thank you for your co-operation and support.

Communications with Grandparents/Carers
It has been great to see many grandparents, carers and child minders back with us this week at drop-off and-pick up times. As we all settle in to the new routines before, during and after school, could we please remind parents to pass on school messages and reminders to family and friends who may be helping out with the school runs to ensure that the new systems in place can run as smoothly as possible.
The school app is available to anyone who needs it therefore grandparents and other carers may find it useful to have this on their mobile phones and devices to ensure that they receive the same messages as parents.
Social Distancing
Thank you to parents and carers for your co-operation and patience at the start and end of the school day. Our new system of staggered start/finish times and different entrance and exit points is becoming embedded and hopefully getting easier for everyone.
A reminder of some important points to help our social distance systems improve further and help keep everyone safe:
- Ensure social distancing is happening at all times
- Please do not congregate or queue on the zebra crossing to allow safe passing to and from the junior gate and hall entrances
- Preferably only one parent/carer to accompany child to and from school
- Please adhere to stated drop-off/pick-up times and avoid arriving early
- Exit carpark as quickly as possible
- Walk to school where possible – we currently have no facility to store bikes/scooters etc
- If any parents feel more comfortable wearing a face covering during drop-off/pick-up times, please feel free to do so
- Children will be dismissed one by one as each parent/carer reaches the front of the queue inside the barriers
Thank you once again for your help.
