15 May 2020Posted on Friday, May 15th, 2020.
I write to you again now as we approach the end of week 8 of lockdown and partial school closure. It is hard to believe that the school has now been partially closed with most children remaining at home for almost 8 weeks. I
do hope that all our children and families continue to stay safe and well.
Following the announcement by the Prime Minister on Sunday evening 10 May, I know there will be many concerns, anxieties and questions from parents seeking reassurance on the safety of your children and families. As
with other Warrington schools, we are working closely with the Local Authority on the plans on how a return to school will be managed within the Government’s guidelines and as soon as there is a clear plan I will share this with you.
Our school remains partially open for the children of parents who are key workers and staff continue to work in the school on a rota basis to look after the children and serve our key worker families. For all children who remain at home, Teachers continue to set tasks on a Monday for the children to work through at home. These are posted on the class pages of the website with messages from the Teachers – please encourage older children to read these messages and for younger children, read the messages to them. The Teachers’ messages have been lovely and will
help your child to feel like they are still in contact with their Teacher and class.
Once again I send to you all my good wishes to remain, strong, positive, happy, calm and safe throughout these most challenging of times.
God Bless and take care,
H T Lennon – Head Teacher
